CAIRN TERRIERS ARE A WONDERFUL FAMILY PET. THEY ARE VERY FRIENDLY, INTELLIGENT, AND FULL OF SPIRIT, BUT ARE NOT HIGH-STRUNG. THEY ARE GOOD WATCH DOGS BUT ARE NOT YAPPERS OR EXCESSIVE BARKERS. THEY CAN BE AT HOME IN A SMALL APARTMENT BUT ALSO LOVE THE OUTDOORS AND FARM LIFE. THEY WILL ROMP AND PLAY FRISBEE ONE MINUTE AND ALLOW THEMSELVES TO BE DRESSED UP IN DOLL CLOTHES THE NEXT. CAIRN TERRIERS ARE A VERY HEALTHY, HARDY BREED. THE CAIRNOODLES ARE NEW TO TRIPLE L FARM. THEY ARE A CROSS OF A CAIRN TERRIER AND A TOY OR MINIATURE POODLE. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL LITTERS NOW AND AM GETTING VERY FAVORABLE FEEDBACK FROM THE NEW "NOODLE" OWNERS. THE CAIRNOODLE PUPPIES ARE VERY SMART AND ARE TRAINING EASILY AND OF COURSE ARE NON OR LOW SHEDDING. IN COMPARISON WITH THE PUREBRED CAIRN TERRIERS, I FIND THE YOUNG CAIRNOODLE PUPPIES TO BE MELLOWER AND SOMEWHAT MORE LAID-BACK. LIKE MY OTHER BREEDS, I RATE THE CAIRNOODLES AS VERY FAMILY FRIENDLY. SIZE IS SIMILAR TO THAT OF THE PUREBRED CAIRN TERRIERS, NORMALLY 10 TO 15#. MY LITTERS OF CAIRN TERRIERS AND CAIRNOODLES USUALLY CONTAIN A VARIETY OF COLORS. LISTED BELOW ARE MY AVAILABLE PUPPIES. TESTIMONIALS FROM CAIRNOODLE OWNERS........ Hi Laurel, I've been meaning to write to you for some time, but never got around to it. If you remember I got a cairnoodle from you last summer. We named him Ramsay and he's about to turn one on April 23rd. He's all grown up and I think he's about 14 or 15 pounds. I attached a photo, its actually from a few months ago, but its so adorable. He is absolutely the cutest dog ever. He's very social and loves other dogs and people. We live in NYC so he gets to meet lots of dogs and people on the street and you would never believe how many people stop to tell me how adorable he is. He loves going to dog parks and we send him to doggie daycare at least once a week so he can get in a whole day of dog play. He has tons of energy and loves to play fetch. He is constantly dropping toys on our lap so we can throw them. I just wanted to thank you because I could not have asked for a better dog!! :) Dear Laurel, I just wanted to let you know that my little cairnoodle is doing great. He is so smart and so much fun and so loving. He is getting braver in his new home, and definitely is protective of "his" toys. I think I've laughed more in the last week that I did in the last 6 months. I named him Shay, which I found online looking for Gaelic names and the site said it means "courage". Laurel, I have been meaning to send you a photo of Bella for awhile. She got her first haircut today. She is 7 months old and has an AMAZING personality. She loves people and she was the star of her puppy class. She was so smart, the vet used her to demo tricks. She has an independent streak that rears its head when she breaks free of her yard but that is about only issue we have yet to address. She seems to love to chase birds. She even points. She lost all her fluffy black hair and now is a beautiful brindle. She is great with my oldest daughter but still plays a bit rough with the four year old but as she is growing up that behavior is receding a bit. She is FULL of energy and is so good natured it almost seems like she has a sense of humor. She is a smart one! I am so happy with our little Bella and I greatly appreciate your help in selecting her. He has never chewed up anything like most puppies go through...nor does he ever make a mess in the house. He still goes to my mom's daily and she enjoys his company. He weighs about 12 lbs and he is quite the jumper. A little hyper at times when he decides to go on a running spree through the house when we haven't got our walk in. FROM BILL ABOUT ELMO....... I did a lot of internet searching on Breeds and Breeders. Though we had no experience with the breed (combination) we decided on a Cairnpoo because the Cairn is considered the comic of the terrier world and Poodles are smart and affectionate (though we are definitely not poodle people). As far as breeders are concerned Laurel was very credible and professional and a complete class act, as she has been through the whole process of obtaining a dog. I can honestly say I didn�t get that feeling from anyone else we spoke with directly---lots of uneasiness and stories that didn�t quite match up. We really didn�t want to deal with or support a tarted up puppy mill or an unethical breeder in the event of problems. Laurel was head and shoulders on top, and that had a lot to do with our dog choice in the end, as it will our next one if she and we are still around! As for Elmo, he is a joy far beyond expectations. Smart, gregarious, affectionate, obedient and hilarious---really laugh out loud funny. If you haven�t had a Terrier you might not appreciate that, but most dogs don�t get humor. Elmo throws his own toys, watches TV, etc�could be stand up comic. At this point he looks as if he will have one poodle ear and one Cairn Terrier ear (see picture), which operate independently, and this only adds to his merriment and expressiveness. He is energetic but not so much that you have to exercise him all the time to keep him from becoming neurotic; and there are breeds like that. |
